We are first-generation farmers who, with the support of our family and neighbors, have farmed in the heart of the Willamette Valley Oregon starting 2015. Having long felt a strong pull toward sustainable farming and living, we join a new generation of farmers who work to make a living wage, not at the expense of the rest of the food chain but with a sustainable approach that ensures healthy land, customers, farmers, and animals.
Chick Chick Farms is a small diversified grass-based livestock farm located in Turner, Oregon in the mid of the Willamette Valley – Oregon Wine Country. Our mission is to establish a profitable, environmentally-friendly sustainable farm, which promotes a local food system that produces great tasting nutrient rich foods, works in harmony with nature and reinvigorates the local economy.
In simplest terms, sustainable agriculture is the production of food, fiber, or other plant or animal products using farming techniques that protect the environment, public health, human communities, and animal welfare. At Chick Chick Farms we raise pastured eggs, pastured Chicken, pastured Pigs, and lots of beautiful green grass. Our animals are rotated regularly through our lush pastures.
Our animals are grass fed, our poultry and pigs are supplemented with a custom-mixed ration. Neither our animals nor the pasture that sustains them ever consumes maintenance antibiotics, growth hormones, or synthetic pesticides or herbicides. Anyone is welcome to visit the farm anytime. No locked doors.
